The city of Parma is located in the region of Emilia Romagna at about 125
Km south-east of Milan and 180 km north of Florence.
Parma is known for its elegant center, rich of art, parks and treasures from different ages.
Vivid is still the historical mark of the enlightened government of Maria Luigia, the wife of Napoleon,
when Parma was the capital of the Duchy of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla.
Several famous artists lived and worked here, from Correggio to Parmigianino, from Verdi to Toscanini, from Stendhal to Proust.
Parma is also famous for its culinary tradition, with a large variety
of traditional local recipes and delicacies,
including the Prosciutto Crudo of Parma and the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
